Theme of the Call

A residency between light and sea

On the Costa del Sol, light is a material. It shifts across the Mediterranean from dawn to dusk, dissolving the horizon and changing how we see and remember. We invite artists to take light and sea as subject, medium and metaphor, and to explore the identity of Spain through this Mediterranean gaze.

Conditions of the Call

Open Call: Art Residency at Anfitrión (Marbella)

Anfitrión opens its annual call for contemporary artists to develop a project in a unique setting that combines creation, research and international visibility.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for visual artists of any discipline and nationality, over 21, who currently reside in Spain or hold a valid visa for the duration of their stay, and are willing to explore and project the identity of Spain through contemporary art.
