OPEN CALL – ANFITRIÓN ART RESIDENCY (MARBELLA)
Anfitrión opens its annual call for contemporary artists interested in developing a residency project in a unique setting that combines creation, research, and international visibility.
The residency aims to promote Spain through the work of artists, turning their projects into a meeting point between culture, territory, and contemporary vision.
Benefits for the artist
- Free accommodation in a 5★ hotel suite in our Marbella venue (meals not included).
- Round-trip tickets from anywhere in Spain.
- Fully equipped studio for project development (materials not included).
- Curatorial support and professional visibility: artworks created during the residency will be exhibited in Anfitrión’s spaces, engaging with an international audience.
Artist commitments
- Donation of two works produced during the residency:
- One main work, at least 120 × 120 cm.
- One secondary work, up to 50 × 50 cm.
- Availability for interviews and meetings during the stay.
- Intermediate level of English will be positively valued.
Candidate profile
The open call is aimed at visual artists from any discipline and nationality, over 21 years old, who present a solid project aligned with the residency’s purpose: to explore and project the identity of Spain through contemporary art.
Duration and residency period
The stay will last between 30 days and 2 months, to be enjoyed between October and March (inclusive).
The residency may be individual or collective, at Anfitrión’s discretion.
Application procedure
Interested artists must submit their applications to art@anfitrion.art, including:
- Project statement (max. 1,000 words).
- Updated portfolio (PDF or web link).
- Artistic CV.
- Motivation letter (max. 1 page).
- Preferred residency duration (30 days or 2 months).
- Availability and preferred dates.
Limited spots available. Selection will be made by a curatorial committee, and only selected artists will be notified.
